Why we love this

A soft, juicy sweetness introduces the cup, bringing to mind apple juice with hints of melon beneath the surface. As the coffee opens, the fruit develops a sweeter, more candied character, while cardamom adds a fragrant, cooling spice that lifts the sweetness and brings a subtle citrusy brightness. The Kerinci highlands are shaped by fertile volcanic soils, high elevations, and a lush tropical climate. Farms surrounding Mount Kerinci benefit from these conditions while existing within a landscape known for its incredible biodiversity and protected forests.

Sumatran coffee is best known for wet-hulling, a method suited to Indonesia’s humid climate. This lot breaks from tradition: carefully sorted cherries are sun-dried whole as a natural process, and the slower drying offers a different expression of the region.
